Foot Mechanics & Postural Check-Up

If you have considered that Orthotics may be useful for you, we can offer a 30 minute consultation in which we will make a thorough assessment of your Foot Mechanics.

We can then fit and adjust your Orthotics to suit your individual requirements –considering the  type of sport or job you do.

We will also assess your Ankle, Calf and Knee Mechanics and can discuss treatment options for  any dysfunction we detect to help your feet to adapt to your new Orthotics.

During your consultation we may recommend stretching or strengthening exercises that will help your feet and the rest of your body adapt to, and maintain, its new posture and mechanics. Your combination of exercises will be unique to you, for your particular foot mechanics and work or sporting needs.

These may include:

  • Calf stretches.
  • Inversion and eversion excercises to stretch the muscles that control stability.
  • Excercises to relax the sole of the foot.
  • Mobility exercises for the toe joints and forefoot.
  • Hip stretch exercises.
  • Thigh muscle stretches.
